Sustainability
at Conroe Machine
We define sustainability as the ways we contribute to a clean and healthy environment for our communities today, and how we ensure our children and grandchildren can meet their needs in the future. We continually evolve these practices to make them even more impactful. They currently include:
Water conservation: promptly repairing equipment leaking water, cleaning with a broom instead of a hose, using newer, more efficient equipment, reusing dirty water for other applications
Energy conservation: shutting down equipment when it's not in use, installing energy efficient light bulbs, using new energy efficient technology and equipment with the ENERGY STAR mark
Waste management: recycling whenever possible, using materials efficiently to minimize waste, purchasing products with minimal impact on the environment, such as recycled, renewable, or local material
Limiting greenhouse gas emissions: using renewable energy and alternative fuels, keeping vehicles and equipment in good condition with up-to-date preventative maintenance, not leaving vehicles idling unnecessarily, carpooling
Employee training: company-wide education on best sustainability practices, requesting input from all shareholders for ideas on improving practices, ensuring complete compliance with the letter and spirit of all applicable environmental laws and standards
Our History
Conroe Machine opened its doors in South Texas in 2000 with just two machines and two employees. As we added equipment and capable people to operate it, we quickly began to establish ourselves as a reliable partner for local area businesses. Our reach widened further still as we obtained API Spec 7-1 and ISO 9001 certifications and became members of the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) and the Greater Houston Manufacturers Association (GHMA).
Soon we had outgrown our humble beginnings. So in March, 2010 we moved into our current headquarters: a state-of-the-art, 65,000-square-foot facility on 9 acres in Conroe's Business Park North.
Our ranks have grown to encompass some of the most highly skilled veterans of the machining industry in the state. And we’ve had the privilege of serving some of the most recognizable brands in the world on their most exciting projects.
As we move our business into new service avenues and industries, we envision many more years of successful operation as we focus on the values of dependability and customer service that have carried us to where we are today. And we invite you to come along on the journey with us.
